You can do this on both Windows and Mac computers. Keep in mind that you will need to zoom in fairly close to see individual streets, meaning you won't be able to fit much of a Google Map area onto one printed page.

Two or three years ago, I was contacted by a recruiter from Google. They wanted to know if I'd be interested in working for the advertising giant. At the time, it had this childish scrawl all over it. It's a decision I've often thought about. I've been involved in my fair share of high profile failures, and I didn't feel I could survive another one on my CV.
You remember the one from Harry Potter which lists where every member of the family currently is? She was alone in an unfamiliar city and I was stuck at a conference in the suburbs. It was a simple, passive, and comforting way to keep an eye on each other's whereabouts.Archivio di stato di catania
Well, Google killed Latitude. Killed it stone dead. So, my wife set up an account with the sole purpose of sharing her location with me. Oh, don't get me wrong, you can read the documentation which says it's supportedfollow the tutorials which show you how to do it, read StackOverflow posts giving you adviceand watch YouTube videos showing how awesome it is - but you can't get any location data out of the API.
Not your friends', and not your own. I'm a Product Manager. I know that sometimes you have to make tough choices about which new features to include, or which bugs to prioritise. What I can't understand is how anyone has the gall to actively solicit bug reports from highly engaged members of the community, and then ignore them all. I can't understand how you can have documentation which is fundamentally contradicted by reality.
I can't understand how any manager at Google thinks that annoying the people who want to interact with you is a good idea. It's like Google were a toddler, repeatedly punching kids in the face and then wondering why they don't want to play with it. All the people I know who work at Google are smart, passionate, committed, and eager to do the right thing.
But something in that company is stopping them. The very culture of the company seems to be "we're the best of the best, therefore everything we do is perfect. There's no need to fix our broken windows. I practice a zero-tolerance form of Product Management. Every small customer facing defect is a signal to your customers that you don't care about them.
Each bug is a slap in the face and deserves a swift remedy - or at the very least an apology and a timescale for a fix. Google is sticking its head in the sand and hoping developers will ignore the broken functionality, and broken promises, which now damage its reputation. First, visit Google's Location History Page. On there, you'll see a link to download your location history by exporting it to KML. Go ahead and click it. Foolish grasshopper! Google doesn't provide any API to get this data.
You must go through the Web interface. Using Chrome, install this Cookie Exporting add on. Copy and paste the data into a text file.
How to View Google Maps Location History
To get tax credit for days not spent working in a municipality I need to prove that I was out of the city on each day.
No, Google Maps doesn't let you do that. It frustrated me as well, so I've written a python script that does just that. It does sound like a lot of "proof" required - who is to say you didn't pop back with your GPS turned off?
My experience of the tax office is you need to show some evidence if requested to. A lot of people do log books of car mileage everyday etc just for tax evidence, or keep specific receipts etc - I am sure you know that.
My experience with the Google location data or trying to find a lost phone etc is that its hard to keep a list. Especially when trying to keep track of an errant daughter Or perhaps screenshot your google map with your location on every day you are either IN or OUT of the location, and keep those as a log - no more stressful or arduous than remembering to keep a mileage log!
Perhaps as simple as a photo of the place in the town with date and timestamp - it will only ever be needed if requested and then you can send them a big zip file full of pictures! Be creative, shots by the beach, in the cafe Sign up to join this community.

So I downloaded Google location timeline history. However, this data is represented as a polyline with just about a dozen time marks Figure 2. At the same time when I look at the Google location timeline history in Google Maps, I can see so-called "raw data" represented with red dots, hundreds of them Figure 1.
So, the question is: how to download this Google timeline history point data or at least extract more time marks from a polyline of my path I downloaded? Sign up to join this community.Clay modelling animals easy

So, basically, I'm interested in a more detailed information about timeline history. Currently, data that I downloaded contains only segments and I would like to extract more points with time marks from the Google timeline history. In case anybody was looking, the way you download the raw KML file is to open the Google Timeline to the desired view and then press the gear button on the bottom of the page.
There is the raw KML option.
It only takes a minute to sign up. I went on a trip and I'd like to make a map of the places I went. I could do this manually in Google Maps, but I know my 'phone tracks me everywhere I go. Is there any way to take a Google Timeline from date1 to date2 and turn it into a map with connected dots?
I will have to export each day but better than my entire maps history. Not quite what you want, but Google Maps Timeline will show you dots for everywhere you've visited.
If you choose a specific day, it'll show on the map lines connecting the dots in order for your destinations that day. Unfortunately it'll only show a day at a time. Sign up to join this community.Shinobi ios app

Remember to keep the top and bottom two lines for the KML tags. If the resulting file is less than 5GB you are good. The files can now be imported into Google's My Maps and you have your map.
There has to be an easier way but this works. You can even get one month at a time as well though apparently not custom date range. I've exported the KML file now, but I'm not really sure how to play with it. Yeah, but only the last location seems to show. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google. Sign up using Facebook.
